Links & Resources
Various links and resources I find useful to share with fellow fans.
-
fandomcalendar: The Resource to find currently running and upcoming fandom events for fic and art creation & more.
-
Fancoders: Community of tech professionals & hobbyists who want to (among other things) increase coding literacy in fandom.
AO3 Customization
-
Hiding the stats page (and other stats) on AO3: post and tutorial by vriddy. Many other options out there, probably, but finding this made me realize I had control to just hide my stats and ignore them.
-
Floating comment box for AO3: userscript to have a floating comment box to add impressions and quotes while reading a fic.
On Transformative Works Policies
A few resources regarding Transformative Works Policies, also known in some cases as Blanket Permissions – a way for fan creators to easily and clearly communicate to others whether they’re allowed or not to produce transformative works of their work (be it a translation, an audio rendition or podfic, a remix, sequel, etc.) It’s important to have one! Making Websites
-
Hugo: A static site generator written in Go. This website is made with it. It’s pretty easy to use and allows you to write all of your content in Markdown and it’s infinitely customizable in terms of appearance too.
-
Neocities.org: Cool service to host a static website for free.
-
Coolors: I really enjoy using this color palette generator.
-
ColorBrewer: Great resource for accessible color palettes.
