Who’s Who in Little Bird as of Chapter 6, 7 and 8
- Annie Leonhart
- Our protagonist. She’s working in the Allied Nations Refugee Committee in Cotta. She has a dark past and her comfort read is a fairy tale full of blood and gore. She’s spiraling.
- Connie Springer
- The sidekick. He works for the Food Program Committee in Cotta. He works with biologists and other scientists. He likes to make jokes at the most unfortunate times.
- Armin Arlert
- The lover. In Cotta, he’s also known with his new title, Commendatore. After some weeks away on a diplomatic tour he came back to be with Annie, but that didn’t work very well.
- Emilia “The Hag” Corsi della Vetera
- An old white-haired lady from the Corsi della Vetera family, major landowners of Cotta historically opposed to Eldians. She claims she’s Annie’s grandmother and she wants Annie to inherit the family name and fortune, for some reason.
- Patrizio Innocenti
- The proconsul of the Cotta province and the husband to Annie’s biological mother. He too has a proposal for Annie.
- Flaminia Innocenti, née Corsi della Vetera
- Annie’s mother, it seems.
- Talia Innocenti
- A dead child in a coffin, or Annie’s name in her Marleyan life.
- Vanda
- A woman in her mid-sixties working as staff in the Corsi della Vetera house. She claims she knew Annie’s mother and to have been her nursemaid. She knows something about what came about when Annie has been given away.
- Kitty
- A young maid at the Corsi della Vetera house.
- Sara Grunbeck
- A medical nurse at the Eldian hospital in Cotta, now part of the Refugee Committee and a colleague of Annie’s. She has political ideas and 3 younger sisters.
- Renato Balsamo
- A Marleyan from a minor noble family of Cotta who’s also a Philology Doctor and a lecturer at the local university. He’s tall and reminds Annie of Bertholdt.
- Mayor Severino Pasquier
- One of the two Mayors of Cotta. He has a bumbling stride and would rather not act and just talk, but casually, not to change anything.
- Mayor Giacomo Lepri
- The other Mayor of Cotta. He’s tall and thin and sometimes looks intelligent while also doing nothing.
- Eleonora Pasquier
- Mayor Pasquier’s wife. She has a nice house and cares about appearances nad mores.
- Irene Lepri
- Mayor Lepri’s wife. She’s convinced the Montfort ghost at Serenia House has it against her.
- Mr. Carlo Fiotti
- The Head of the Water and Infrastructures Office in Cotta. He’s responsible for the waterworks and the water connections both in the city and the fields.
- Ida Margani, née Ferrero
- The wife of an industrialist in Cotta. Her brother is married to Mayor Pasquier’s cousin Natalia, but they had a fight because of a match in the palm game. She can be persistent.
- Natalia Ferrero
- Mayor Pasquier’s cousin, a woman in her early thirties. She’s married to Giulio Ferrero, Ida Margani’s brother, and was one of the parties involved in the birt of the family feud between them.
- Giulio Ferrero
- Natalia’s husband and Ida Margani’s brother. He’s very deep inside the thought of the family feud.
- Silke Benesch
- A girl of about 14 who strikes a conversation with Annie during downtime at the shelter. Her aunt is a teacher at the shelter’s school but the girl would rather know about the Rumbling, and from Annie herself.
- Verena Benesch
- A refugee in the downtown shelter. She’s a renowned professor of letters and ancient languages, and has a rather rocky relationship with her niece.
- Arcadio Golubeff
- A geologist in the Food Programme team and a colleague of Connie’s. He lived in Cotta since very young, but his family is originates from a foreign country run by a theocratic government and they had to escape it to seek freedom. He went to the same school as Patrizio Innocenti.
- Isabell Grunbeck
- Sara’s youngest sister. She’s also a medical nurse. Connie fancies her a bit.
- Serafina Montfort
- A patient at Serenia House, dead many years ago for a fire in the building she herself caused. They say her ghost haunts the premises, now.
- Mr. Leonhart
- Annie’s adoptive father. He trained her since very young to become a Marley Warrior and allow him to live a privileged life (for an Eldian, at least). Annie wanted to get back to him for the totality of the canon story, but now she’s in Cotta on her own.
- Onyankopon
- A good guy, also soon to be involved in this foolishness, but with class.
- Mrs. Zenaida
- Matron of the house Annie and Connie are staying in. Really, she’s just a messenger.
- Gianni
- An actor with bleached hair and too many ideas. He lives for The Arts.
- Cantelli
- A deserter soldier now working at the downtown shelter.
- Pieck Finger
- A canon character who’s not present in the story but still gets to annoy Annie.
- Settembrini
- The Corsi della Vetera’s lawyer.
- The Lady of the House of Ice
- The protagonist of a fairy tale. She likes hearts.
